Role Purpose

Using prevailing engineering design procedures, standards, and codes and relying on experience and judgment to prepare complex engineering and technical drawings and, in some circumstances, generate original designs to depict the layout and equipment arrangement in 2D or 3D to support the Engineers in conducting their engineering planning, design, construction & fabrication works.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assisting in accomplishing project design activities in preparing piping layouts, general arrangement, and details in 2D or 3D
  • Knowledge and application of company engineering design, 3D modelling, and CAD drafting
  • Prepares complete sets of complex engineering drawings, including detailed and fabrication drawings from multiple views
  • Having analyzed complex designs and evaluated equipment systems creates product layouts and generates new designs
  • Prepares layout design of equipment, components, structures, and systems
  • Performs final drafting review to ensure comprehensive dimensional data is provided for engineering or fabrication purposes
  • Prepares documentation, information, and communication such as Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), engineering specifications, design reports, MTO and required system documentation
  • Ensures that the drawings provide dimensional tolerances as required and defined or designed by the manufacturers or Engineers to ensure proper assembly fit
  • Prepares drawings and presentation slides as part of technical specifications and presentations for a project proposal
