Overall Job Purpose
Applies system knowledge, Engineering knowledge and experience to set up, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the AVEVA P&ID system and databases for all projects executed by MOPS and ensure the Aveva P&ID environment works efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
- Be the single point of contact for all matters related to setup, maintenance, administration, system upgrades, and troubleshooting of the AVEVA P&ID system deployed on all MODEC FPSO projects.
- Support for Aveva P&ID integration with AVEVA Engineering and AVEVA E3D etc.
- Coordinate with the engineering disciplines assigned to the project and work closely with project management, procurement, HSE, QA/QC, operations, and the construction team. Meet or, where possible, exceed on-time deliverables while maintaining quality and safety in each activity.
- Developing customized solutions in AVEVA P&ID for project deliverables
- Prepare Project-specific job notes and provide training for designers and administrators.
- The incumbent shall support all MODEC projects to ensure the smooth production of deliverables from AVEVA P&ID and the delivery of databases to operations and clients.
- Manage the system licensing and upgrades based on project requirements.
- Must understand company goals and implement management directives and policies.
- Support project management in reviewing, risk assessment, and closing out AVEVA system issues.
- Anticipate potential problems and takes preventive actions.
- Support Product Manager in delivering solutions on projects.
- Implement automation tools that will benefit the project deliverables
- Interact with all disciplines to clarify/explain the intent of the AVEVA design and suggest alternatives when the need arises.
- Participate in Project/Engineering/Subcontractors kick-off meetings.
- Utilize AVEVA PID reporting to assist in monitoring design quality and progress.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of company work methodology/procedures.
- Support the section lead and engineering manager in planning AVEVA system deployment on projects.
- Conclude all open issues amicably.
- Manage project licenses for AVEVA P&IDs.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Certification(s):
Training in AVEVA P&ID administration
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in onshore/offshore piping and process engineering activities and with a minimum 5 years of experience in Aveva P&ID tool as administrator
- Have adequate knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Regularly in touch with vendors for new/updated product design. - Familiarity with the use of software and database systems related to engineering functions.
- Demonstrate ability to take lead.
