Overall Job Purpose

  • Within the project Management team of Uaru project and under the supervision of the Topside Delivery Manager, the EPC Package Manager is responsible to deliver the assigned packages to the Uaru project on time, within budget, in accordance with the project HSSE & QA/QC requirements.

    Core Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of the EPC Package Coordinator include the following main activities.

    1. Coordinate and align with the Client to deliver the assigned packages.
    2. Coordinate and manage engineering and procurement activities of selected EPC packages in conjunction with the Topside Project Engineering Manager and Topside Procurement Lead, until delivery of packages.
    3. Ensure engineering & procurement activities from RFQ to PO issue is maintained as per agreed PSR schedule
    4. Ensure package KOM dates decided with vendors and 1st issue of project critical documents are available from vendors well within project schedule so that to proceed with detail engineering and provide input to disciplines and detail engineering contractor. In case of any delays from vendors are adjusted in subsequent engineering.
    5. Ensure receipt of vendor package project schedule along with sub-order status, and SDDR schedule, complying MODEC project schedule.
    6. Review all packages monthly progress report submitted by vendor (with support from expeditor and package engineer) along with updated schedule, sub-order status, technical issues, and concerns, to ensure no slip in agreed project schedule.
    7. Monitor- vendors presence at MOPS is organized for HAZOP meeting, Design review meeting, 3D model review and other meeting as needed depending upon package requirements and progress.
    8. Ensure smooth execution of various critical inspections in compliance with PO, and approved Inspection plan with help of QA/QC.
    9. Organize visit to vendor’s facility as required - for expediting, progress monitoring, Engineering approvals, attending FAT, depending upon package issues, progress, and criticality.
    10. Ensure regular meetings with vendors are scheduled for monitoring progress and documents.
    11. Participate in various meetings like, PSR, Expediting, KOM, Project Engineering meetings, regular meetings with vendor, and PMT organized meetings as needed.
    12. Restrict/Manage change in vendor scope, and VO from vendors in association with Engineering & procurement team.
    13. Monitor and seek opportunities for negative variation orders to package vendors.
    14. Ensure package is delivered without carry over work, no FAT punch points pending, all MC-ITRs signed & closed, and all scope items received & included within package delivery.
    15. Closely communicate with yard construction managers for their schedule and requirement to receive packages (actual ROS date), accordingly changes in package delivery dates if any can be synchronized.
    16. After package delivery at yard – ensure closing of carry over work (if any), FAT punch points (if any), FAT-MC-ITR (if any), Site observation punch points, NR/Operation punch points, damage/missing items procurement - with help from site team, package engineer, QC, MC, procurement, and vendor.
    17. Manage requirement of Package Engineers visit at yards (if required and demanded by PMT) to assist in installation/Carry Over Work.
    18. Ensure providing technical support from the team as needed during Commissioning.
    19. Administer changes (change management) in coordination with engineering, however controlling project schedule, and budget.
    20. Monitor manning plan of the team and review it time to time.

      Educational Qualification:

      Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Packaging science, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology or related field


        Relevant Experience:
        PMP certification will be considered a plus.
        Minimum 8 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
        Minimum 8 years of experience in EPC projects or equivalent.
