Engineering Quality Management Representative

MODEC is looking for Engineering Quality Management Representative to be based in Kuala Lumpur. The candidate must have Project knowledge, Engineering knowledge and Technical Auditing experience to independently manage and ensure the Quality in Engineering Department by establishing quality management system, develop quality procedures, conducting technical audits, reporting and continual improvement in engineering quality performance

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible to host project quality audits (Internal, Third Party and Client) and monitor close out of findings from these audits
• Verify on Prequalification Engineering subcontractors by performing audits on them
• Provide quality inputs for New Prospects/Proposal, RFQs and vendor evaluations
• Responsible for overall maintaining, development, and continuous improvement of quality in
  engineering
• Review all new work procedures of engineering sections for quality assurance purpose and be
  one of the signatories for issuance of procedures
• Coordinate a team of engineers from various engineering disciplines supporting quality
  objectives in day-to-day function
• Prepare and issue technical audit schedule in consultation with company QA/QC manager and
  Project Engineering Manager
• Responsible for scheduling and conducting technical audits as per technical audit procedure
• Responsible for scheduling and conducting of Technical Peer Reviews
• Responsible for maintenance of Engineering Quality Manual and other associated corporate
  documents related to Engineering quality
• Organize training of Engineering department personnel on Internal quality Audit (IQA)
• Prepare trend data of technical audit and peer reviews conducted on various projects
• Report Engineering quality related data in Quality MPRs
• Define and Implement Quality KPI and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Master Engineering with minimum 20 years' experience in onshore/offshore Oil &
  Gas area or FPSO line(s) relevant experience
  
• Must be a Qualified ISO 9001 / 29001 Lead Auditor
• Familiar in use of Software, Database systems related to Engineering functions. - Ability to understand engineering
  quality and it's importance in project life cycle
• Ability to communicate and interface with project engineering team and quality team
• Capability to conduct technical audit efficiently
