Overall Job Purpose

Applies system knowledge, Engineering knowledge and experience to set up, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and administer AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation systems for all projects.

Responsibilities

  • Be the single point of contact for all matters related to setup, maintenance, administration, system upgrades, and troubleshooting of AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation systems deployed on all MODEC FPSO projects.
  • Shall have sound knowledge of integrating various AVEVA tools such as AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA P&ID, AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA E3D etc.
  • Coordinate with the engineering disciplines assigned to the project and work closely with project management, procurement, HSE, QA/QC, operations and construction team and meet or where possible to exceed on-time deliverables, maintaining the quality and safety in each activity.
  • Shall be capable of developing customised solutions in AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Instrumentation
  • Shall be capable of developing Work Instructions for users of AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation
  • The incumbent shall support all MODEC projects to ensure the smooth production of deliverables from AVEVA E&I and delivery of the AVEVA database to operations and clients.
  • Support project management in review, risk assessment and close-out of AVEVA systems issues.
  • Anticipate potential problems and take preventive actions.
  • Must understand company goals and implement management directives and policies
  • Support Product Manager in delivering AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation solutions on projects
  • Engage with the software vendor to ensure future product developments are understood and implemented as required to improve project delivery.
  • Shall train the MODEC users on AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation applications in projects.
  • Interface with all disciplines to clarify/explain AVEVA design intent and suggest alternatives when the need arises
  • Participate in Project/Engineering/Vendor kick-off meetings.
  • Day to day Planning of work and managing project licenses of Aveva E&I
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of company work methodology/procedures.
  • Conclude all open issues amicably.

Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation or Computer Science

Certification(s):
Training in Aveva Engineering and Aveva Instrumentation administration

Relevant Experience:

  • At least five years’ experience applying AVEVA Electrical and Aveva Instrumentation engineering in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas areas or FPSO line(s).
  • Specialist knowledge of AVEVA E&I and its integration with other AVEVA tools.
  • Have adequate knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly in touch with vendors for new/updated product design.
  • Familiarity with the use of software and database systems related to engineering functions.
  • Shows evidence of good organization skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to take the lead.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Commitment to take responsibility.
