Role Purpose

The Project Interface Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining communication and collaboration among the client, its main contractors and the internal functions on the FPSO project. This involves identifying and addressing information gaps, expediting required actions in accordance to the required schedule and exploring opportunities to advance the delivery of such information to enhance the completion of the project.

Key Accountabilities

Communication skillsEstablishing clear communication protocols and channels essential to ensure effective communication among various functions, teams, and stakeholders. This will assist in identifying and addressing interface requirements within the project.
Interface managementIdentifying interface requirements among various components, systems, and teams is crucial, including a clear definition of their battery limits and scopes.
Interface managementCreate and uphold an Interface Management Plan that outlines the integration processes, procedures, roles, and responsibilities of all participating entities.
Interface managementOrganize interface review meetings, conduct walkthroughs, and perform quality checks to guarantee adherence to project specifications and requirements.
Interface managementTrack the progress of the interface and ensure all agreed-upon requirements, specifications, and decisions are clearly documented.
Interface managementClose interface requests once an agreement has been reached.
Problem solvingIdentify, monitor, and address any interface-related issues or conflicts in partnership with the relevant teams, ensuring resolutions are timely and effective to uphold project goals and schedules.
Team managementConduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to equip team members with the necessary skills and information for the successful integration of systems and management of interfaces.
Stakeholder managementRegularly provide progress reports to project stakeholders, detailing the interface status, issues, risks, and milestones. Notify the Project Management Team (PMT) about critical interface items that impact the project's technical solution, schedule, and other aspects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Post graduate qualifications will be considered a plus.
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in EPC projects or equivalent.


Competencies

Technical:

Familiar with FPSO designs, including its interactions with SURF.
Experience in interface management processes and tools.
