Responsibilities:
- Responsible to set up equipment and/or bulk materials purchases/agreements for assigned product categories, in accordance with corporate procedures & guidelines and in-line with project objectives.
- Achieve key company objectives such as cost savings, deliver life cycle value, material/services delivery optimization and supplier relationship
- Sufficient number of qualified & reliable suppliers. Perform market research and working with prequalification coordinator.
- Attain the best purchasing value by using market trends & assess supplier demand/supply capacity.
- Via alignment of all stakeholders of project and confirm all requirements. Obtain feedback on supplier's performance.
- Alignment and resolution of issues on both Execution and Operation.
- Sufficient information useable in mitigating risk and capitalized for negotiations/frame agreement/MOU’s.
- Conduct a quarterly business review meeting on critical suppliers and continuous communication with all suppliers pertaining to their performance.
Qualification:
- Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, operations or related field preferred.
- Minimum ten years of experience with proven performance and knowledge of assigned components and services.
- Professional experience applying broad knowledge of principals and practices of purchasing or materials management.
Technical:
- Good understanding and practical knowledge of supply chain management, supplier quality systems, commercial contract management and sourcing strategies.
- Must have a good understanding of fabrication, installation and/or production processes and be familiar with similar products.
- Demonstrates ability to interpret & apply relevant policies & procedures.
- Proficiency with:
a) Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Power point
b) SAP
c) Documentum
Work Conditions
Most of the working time is in the office. Sometimes have to do site visits at to FPSO Integration sites, Fabrication Yards and suppliers’ premises. Sometimes need to travel for Yard visits, supplier meetings or assignment to a foreign work location.
