Purpose:

Under general supervision, using prevailing engineering design procedures, standards and codes and relying on experience and judgement to prepare complex engineering and technical drawings and in some circumstances generate original designs to depict the layout and equipment arrangement so as to support the Engineers in conducting their engineering planning, design and construction work.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares complete sets of complex engineering drawings which include drawings from multiple views, detailed and fabrication drawings.
  • To ascertain that all inputs are delivered to engineering subcontractors in accordance with the MDR avoiding delay and rework.
  • Checks the 3D model prepared by ESC (Engineering Sub-Contractor) for any clashing/acesssibility issue and improve model quality via Naviswork or AVEVA E3D.
  • Performs final drafting review to ensure that comprehensive dimensional data is provided for engineering or fabrication purpose. Reviews to ascertain accuracy, completeness, and conformance to relevant drafting designs, component weights and system standards.
  • Ensures that the drawings provide dimensional tolerances as required and defined or designed by the manufacturers or Engineers so as to ensure proper assembly fit.
  • To deliver the drawings by maintaining quality, complying with HSE standards and meeting the project deliverables schedule.
  • Prepares documentation, information and communication such as Change Request (RC's), engineering specifications, design reports and required system documentation in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Prepares layout design of equipments, components, structures and systems, using past references where possible and standard designs and drawings, manufacturer's catalogs and technical guides.
  • Prepares cable block diagrams, connection diagrams, hookup drawing, instrument installation drawings in AVEVA design module.
  • Ables to conolidate all the Bulk Material MTO and issue RFQ and create PO in SAP.
  • Complies with MODEC HSSEQ Code of Conduct as described in the HSSEQ Policies and the HSEQ Procedures to protect people and the environment at all times. Has a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
  • Complies with MODEC Group's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics and Policies to ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behavior.

    Requirements:
  • Diploma in Engineering or Qualification from Technical Institute
  • Min 5 years in a CAD design environment and demonstrated proficiency with Auto CAD and with material take-off. Knowledge of standard drafting techniques applicable to offshore industry.
